Southern Voice Online - Diva dumped after complaintsI think it is a shame to drop Shirley Q. Liquor from this show but I don't know what the organizers were thinking to begin with other than cause a controversy to promote the event. I believe they had no intention of having Shirley in the show.
Shirley is a very talented performer and I enjoy her comedy but I can see where some people would be offended. Too many people take themselves too seriously.
Even I turned down the opportunity to promote a concert for Shirley a few years ago knowing the outcry from the community.
